France concludes with Qatar sale of 12 Rafale fighters and armored vehicles - Finance and Markets

France plans to conclude an agreement with Qatar on the sale of 12 Rafale fighters and armored vehicles, revealed the French Minister of the Armed Forces, Florence Parly. The agreement is expected to be signed during the official visit of the French President to this Middle Eastern country, which is scheduled for December.
“We have been negotiating for several months”, said Florence Parly. “We have also been negotiating for many months selling a large number of armored personnel carriers, and we hope that it will be concluded when the president leaves for Qatar in early December”, added she.
According to our information, the CEO of Dassault Aviation Eric Trappier would besides went to Qatar to carry a commercial offer for the sale of twelve Rafale following the contract of 6.3 billion EUR signed in May 2015 by Doha for the purchase of 24 French fighter jets (six in tandem version and 18 in single-seater version).
Qatar began to strengthen its armed forces after the start of the diplomatic crisis with Saudi Arabia, as well as a number of Middle Eastern states. In particular, in September, Doha signed a contract for the purchase of 24 Typhoon fighters from the UK.
