Gazprom invests 3.9 billion USD for the construction of the Power of Siberia pipeline in 2018

Gazprom will invest nearly 218 billion rubles (3.87 billion USD) for the construction of the Power of Siberia pipeline in 2018. In 2017, the company has invested 158.1 billion rubles in the project. It is clear from Gazprom’s documentation that the main part of the facility will be the liner part of the gas pipeline and the rest of the compressor stations.
The agency also recalls that last year the investment in the project had to be 209 billion rubles.
In 2018, the investments in Turkish Stream will amount to 182.4 billion rubles, compared with 92.8 billion rubles in 2017. The company plans to invest 114.5 billion rubles in Nord Stream 2, compared to 102.4 billion rubles invested last year.
In December 2017, the Board of Directors of Gazprom approved an investment program of almost 1.4 trillion rubles. This is 13.3% higher than the previous year. Its capital expenditure is worth 798.4 billion rubles.
Power of Siberia pipeline is a natural gas pipeline under construction in Eastern Siberia to transport Yakutia’s gas to Primorsky Krai and Far East countries. The pipeline is expected to cost 770 billion rubles and the investment in the gas production is 430 billion rubles. It is expected to be operational by 2019. Capacity of the 56-inch (1,400 mm) pipeline would be up to 61 billion cbm per annum of natural gas.
